Amy Yang (-6) and Sei Young Kim (-6)
12:22 p.m. - 1st Tee
Despite 15 top-10s in majors, Amy Yang remains committed to her game plan. She enters the final round of the season’s second major four-strokes back of the lead and paired with six-time LPGA Tour winner Sei Young Kim, who came from behind to win three of those titles. The duo will need to go low to close the gap on Sunday, both are four back entering the final round as they chase their first major title.
Jiyai Shin (-8) and Brooke Henderson (-7)
12:31 p.m. – 1st Tee
Former world number one Jiyai Shin made a rare return to the LPGA Tour this week and picked up right where she left off, at the top of the leaderboard. The two-time Ricoh Women’s British Open champion is playing in her first major on Tour since 2014 and posted a 64 on moving day to leap from a tie for 35th to solo third. She has three top-5s in this championship, which she last played in 2013. She sits two-back of the lead heading into the final round.
Defending champion Brooke Henderson had an up and down round on Saturday with five birdies and three bogeys which left her three-back of the lead. In 2016, Henderson came from two-back of 54-hole leader Lydia Ko to force a playoff and win this championship for her first major victory.
Chella Choi (-10) and Danielle Kang (-10)
12:40 p.m. – 1st Tee
Chella Choi and Danielle Kang are in unfamiliar territory as first time 54-hole leaders at a major championship, both chasing their first major title. Choi held the first round lead at this championship in 2013 but settled for a tie for fifth, her lone victory coming on Tour at the 2015 Marathon LPGA Classic. Kang, who has yet to win on Tour, is a two-time winner of the U.S. Women’s Amateur. The match play champ approached the third round as a match with her playing partner Sei Young Kim and she plans to use that same mindset on Sunday when paired with the co-leader.
