Dear Mrs. Pressel,
My name is Taylor Sterk and I am writing to you to tell you what an amazing experience that I had working at the Yokohama Tire LPGA Classic and that you were a part of it. This was my first time volunteering for a golf event and it was an excellent. Coming into the event I did not know what to expect. I drove from Atlanta, Georgia and expected to meet volunteers and watch a lot of golf. However, you changed my experiences. I did not expect to be interacting with a LPGA golfer during the middle of her golf rounds. I thought it was the neatest and coolest experience ever and it is something that no one can take away.
In case you do not know who I was, I was the one on the 8th hole that worked in the rough/fairway on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I was the one who got hit by the golf ball in the knee. appreciate you conversing with me on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I really appreciated you cracking a joke, on Friday, when you said to me, "You couldn't give me a better lie?" I responded to you, "Did you want me to kick the ball or throw the ball?" I appreciated you conversing with me in the middle of the fairway on Saturday and you were smiling too. I really appreciated how you showed your caring side on Sunday when the first thing you said to me was, "how was your bruise?" To me that meant something and I gained a lot of respect by that demonstration that you showed.
On a side note, I read your bio on the LPGA website. I saw that you lost your mother when you were 15. I am sorry to hear about that and could not even imagine what that is like. The reason I bring that up is that my mother lost her mother to breast cancer when my mother was 16. To not have a mother that shows her caring and affectionate side is a tough thing to do. Bringing down breast cancer would be an amazing accomplishment.
Through the conversations and experiences that we had from Friday through Sunday, you have gained a fan and I wanted to let you know that. I have also begun looking into next year and trying to decide what LPGA events to sign up for just because of the experiences that I had. I have thought about signing up for the Yokohama Tire LPGA Classic again and as well as maybe one or two more events. I have even told people at work the experiences that I had and that I would volunteer again for another LPGA golf event without any hesitations. I would recommend it for any male or female.
I am going to leave you my mailing address at the bottom of the page, however [understand that you are a busy lady with golf. If you do not get a chance to write back, I understand.
Thanks and God Bless,
Taylor Sterk
