The Portland Classic is on deck for the LPGA Tour this week after an exciting finish at the CPKC Women’s Open. With the Paris Olympics next week, quite a few LPGA Tour rookies and Epson Tour members will be teeing it up at Columbia Edgewater Country Club, a healthy mix of talent that could produce the season’s fourth Rolex First-Time Winner or the LPGA Tour’s first non-member winner since Mone Inami at the TOTO Japan Classic. Three past winners are set to compete, including defending champion Chanettee Wannasaen, who just collected her second LPGA Tour title a couple of weeks ago at the Dana Open. Four Oregon natives are also in the field, most notably Caroline Inglis and Epson Tour alum Gigi Stoll, as are five players who will tee it up as sponsor invitations, a list that includes former Louisiana State University Tiger Ingrid Lindblad.
