DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA, August 19, 2014 – Golf Channel’s reality series Big Break gets a twist this fall with the inaugural Big Break Invitational Reynolds Plantation where 40 past Big Break contestants will compete for $100,000.
The four-day invitational tournament, which will air live on Golf Channel, from September 30 through October 3 will feature 15 Epson Tour members.
The total purse is $300,000 and the winner’s check is $100,000.
The first two rounds will feature a modified Stableford format (players earning points for birdie and higher and negative points for bogey and lower), with the ten men and ten women earning the most points after round two making the cut. Thursday’s third round will feature match play (five men vs. five men / five women vs. five women), with 10 match-play winners advancing to Friday’s final round of 18-holes of stroke play.
The 15 Epson Tour members in the Big Break Invitational are: Anya Alvarez, Blair O’Neal, Carling Nolan, Elena Robles, Emily Talley, Jackie Stoelting, Maiya Tanaka, Mallory Blackwelder, Mary Narzisi, Renee Skidmore, Sadena Parks, Sara Brown, Selanee Henderson, Stefanie Kenoyer and Taylor Collins.
Parks (3rd), Stoelting (6th) and Blackwelder (9th) are all inside the top-10 on the current Volvik Race for the Card money list while Talley is currently 16th.
