Describe your feelings about playing in the CN Canadian Women's Open.
The CN Canadian Women's Open is an event that I always look forward to playing in. It is a tough week to be a Canadian touring pro but it also is exciting because everyone is cheering for you!
What are you most looking forward to about the event?
It is extra special for me to be playing at "home" and it doesn't matter which province we play in. My parents always come and watch so I look forward to spending time with them. And of course I can't wait to get a Timmie's coffee when I arrive at the beginning of the week.
What are your hopes and expectations for the tournament?
I always put a lot of pressure on myself and have high expectations. For this years Open I am going to relax and enjoy every minute of it. I'm going to see the pressure as a challenge and have a lot of fun on the golf course.
How are you received by the Canadian fans?
The Canadian fans are amazing towards me no matter where we are playing. When we play in the USA, Canadian fans will find the Canadian pros and let us know they are Canadian and cheer for us. They are very proud of us and that's an honor! It almost feels like the whole country is behind me!
Have you played this course before? If not what have you heard about it?
I haven't played the course before but I look forward to playing it! I'm sure it will be in excellent shape.
What part of your game are you working on in particular?
Currently, I am working on my mental game. Getting back to the process and having fun on the course. The target on every shot is my main focus as opposed to worrying or thinking too much about results.
How do you assess your season so far?
My season has been excellent. I have had my challenges but I am getting through them now. I am looking forward to teeing it up at the CN Canadian Women's Open!
