Career

In 2012, competed in the U.S. Womens’ Open Championship and an additional 14 events on the Epson Tour.

In 2009, best finish was a tie for 29th at the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic Presented by Kroger.

In 2008, best finish was a tie for 14th at the HSBC Women's Champions.

In 2007, recorded two top-10 finishes, including second at The Mitchell Company LPGA Tournament of Champions, where she crossed the $1 million mark in career earnings; tied her career-low 65 in the opening round of the Michelob ULTRA Open at Kingsmill.

In 2006, best finish was a tie for 19th at the Safeway International Presented by Coca-Cola.

In 2005, won her first career event at the U.S. Women’s Open, holing a wedge shot from the greenside bunker on the final hole to become the 14th player in LPGA history to make the U.S. Women’s Open her first career win; carded a career-low 65 in the opening round of the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic Presented by Kroger, where she tied for 29th.

In 2004, returned to the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament, where she tied for 12th to retain exempt status for the 2005 LPGA season.

In 2003, finished fourth on the Futures Tour money list to earn exempt status for the 2004 LPGA season; competed on the Futures Tour and won the Bank of Ann Arbor Futures Classic; tied for seventh at the Korean Women’s Open Championship.

In 2001, joined the Futures Tour and won the Chumash Casino Futures Classic and the Southwestern Bell Futures Classic.

In 2000, turned professional in November.

Amateur
Kim was the silver medalist at the 1998 Asian Games. She was the 1998-99 Korea Junior Championship winner and from 1998-2000 was a member of the Korean National Team. She won a total of 19 tournaments in Korea as an amateur.
