LPGA*USGA Girls Golf

Since its founding in 1991, the LPGA Foundation has been a driving force in Empowering, Inspiring, and Transforming the lives of girls and women through golf. Its signature program, LPGA*USGA Girls Golf, established in 1989, remains the only youth golf initiative dedicated to providing girls ages 6-17 with welcoming, girl-friendly environments to learn the game while building life skills like confidence and perseverance. Today, Girls Golf engages 120,000 participants annually across 625 sites in 25 countries. According to the National Golf Foundation, 38% of junior golfers today are girls, compared to just 14% in 1986. By removing barriers and expanding access for girls from diverse communities, Girls Golf is Changing The Face of Golf - 1 in 3 female junior golfers are now girls of color, a significant increase from just 1 in 17 two decades ago. In 2023, Girls Golf celebrated its one-millionth participant and launched the #OneMillionMORE campaign to inspire the next million girls by 2030.

LPGA Professionals

LPGA Professionals play a vital role in growing the game of golf. With over 1,900 members in 27 countries - nearly half engaged with Girls Golf - they inspire participation through coaching, community outreach, and nationwide golf initiatives like #inviteHer. Since its launch in 2018, the InviteHER initiative has introduced thousands of women to the game, empowering them to turn their passion for golf into a career while impacting over 2 million golfers annually.

LPGA Leadership Academies

In 2015, the LPGA Foundation began a new, exciting journey, introducing a two-day LPGA Leadership Academy free-of-charge for 40 teenage girls, engaging them through golf and preparing them for leadership opportunities. The LPGA Leadership Academy uses golf to provide a framework for young women to develop confidence, communication, and leadership skills. Group exercises, expert-led discussions, journaling, and interaction with female executives and mentors help girls discover their unique strengths and leadership styles.

Grants, Scholarships and Financial Assistance

Through Grants, Scholarships and Financial Assistance, the LPGA Foundation has invested over $10 million - nearly $1 million earmarked for 2025 - to support young women pursuing academic and athletic aspirations, professionals advancing careers in golf, and initiatives expanding access to the game for girls and women.

LPGA Amateur Golf Association

The LPGA Amateur Golf Association, with 135+ Chapters and 17,000+ members, also fosters community by hosting over 10,000 local events as well as 13 National events annually. These achievements underscore the LPGA Foundation's enduring commitment to breaking barriers, increasing accessibility, and building a brighter future for women and girls through golf.
