Career
In 1979 won nearly $27,000 and finished third in the Rookie of the Year race.
In 1981 she had her best season with more than $38,000 in earnings and recorded her career-best finish of a solo second place at the American Defender/WRAL Classic. She posted her career-low round of 68 during the second round of that event.
In 1983 her best finish was a tie for 26th.
Amateur
Sherk played amateur golf until the age of 29. She was the Canadian Amateur champion in 1977 and 1978, was runner-up in the 1977 U.S. Amateur and won that event a year later. She also won the North/South Amateur and the Ontario Amateur in 1978 and was Golf Digest's top-ranked amateur that same year.
