St. George, Utah – A total of nine LPGA major champions will tee up in southern Utah at the Copper Rock Golf Course in the LPGA Senior Championship, beginning May 23. The group is led by LPGA Hall of Fame and World Golf Hall of Fame member Juli Inkster who won 31 LPGA Tour titles, including seven major championships. Another World Golf Hall of Fame member, Dame Laura Davies, who won 20 times on the LPGA Tour, including four majors, is also in the field alongside 20-time winner and two-time major champion Cristie Kerr.
World Golf Hall of Fame member and four-time major champion Hollis Stacy will compete along with former Solheim Cup captains and major champions Pat Hurst and Liselotte Neumann. Brandie Burton, Cathy Johnston-Forbes, Sherri Steinhauer and defending LPGA Senior Champion Angela Stanford round out the list of the LPGA major winners in the field of 73 players aged 45 and over.
Last year’s U.S. Senior Women’s Open champion Trish Johnson, also a past winner of the LPGA Senior Championship, is returning, as is 2022 U.S. Senior Women’s Open winner Jill McGill. Other notables include Kris Tschetter, Cindy Figg-Currier, Tracy Hanson, Gail Graham and 1973 Rolex Louise Suggs Rookie of the Year Laura Baugh, whose son Eric Cole was the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year last year.
