A few players currently sit on the top-100 bubble in the Race to the CME Globe at this week’s The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican and are looking to make a big move in hopes of both retaining full LPGA Tour status for the 2025 season and avoiding a trip to Magnolia Grove Golf Course in Mobile, Ala., for the Final Qualifying portion of LPGA Q-Series. Here’s a look at a few of those players who will need a strong finish at Pelican Golf Club to maintain their LPGA Tour status next year.

Savannah Grewal

Savannah Grewal currently sits in the 96th spot in the Race to the CME Globe point standings, and while she has had a successful record at LPGA Q-Series, she's not looking for a repeat trip to Alabama. The young Canadian turned professional last November prior to the 2023 LPGA Q-Series deadline, forgoing her final year of college eligibility, and ultimately earned her LPGA Tour card by finishing T10 in Mobile, Ala. Her rookie season has been a bit up and down as the 24-year-old has made just nine of 20 cuts this year with only one top-10 finish on her resume, a tie for fourth that came at the Blue Bay LPGA. Grewal’s finish this week in Belleair, Fla., is critical for the rookie and could move her up in the standings, which would keep her in the top 100 and secure her status for the 2025 LPGA Tour season.

Celine Borge

In 24 starts this year, Celine Borge has made 11 cuts, landing the 2022 Epson Tour graduate just inside the top 100 in the Race to the CME Globe standings. Currently sitting at 99th, this week is the LPGA Tour sophomore’s last chance to improve her position. In 2023, Borge made 16 cuts in 23 tournaments, with two T3 finishes at The Amundi Evian Championship and the Dow Championship alongside playing partner Polly Mack. If she were to finish outside the top 100, it would be the young Norwegian’s first trip to LPGA Q-Series.

Polly Mack

Coming in at 100th in the Race to the CME Globe this week is Polly Mack. With only seven made cuts this year, including one top-10 finish, a tie for fifth that came at the Portland Classic, the German needed to make the cut at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican to have a chance to remain inside the top 100 in the Race to the CME Globe. Ultimately missing the cut after finishing at 3-over in Belleair, Fla., she might be returning to LPGA Q-Series again in 2024 if she eventually falls outside the top 100. It would be the second consecutive year Mack would have to play in Mobile, Ala., as she also competed in 2023 Final Qualifying, where she retained LPGA Tour status with a T5 finish that put her in Category 20 for the 2024 LPGA season.

Bianca Pagdanganan

University of Arizona alum Bianca Pagdanganan sits at 101st in the Race to the CME Globe point standings and is working to improve that this week in Florida. Having made 12 cuts in 19 starts with a best finish of T7 at the Mizuho Americas Open, Pagdanganan hopes to avoid another trip back to Final Qualifying with a solid finish this week at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican, one that could help catapult her inside the top 100. Pagdanganan will make her first LPGA Q-Series start since 2021 if she is unable to move inside the top-100 cutoff in the Race to the CME Globe at the end of this week.
