With the 60-player field for the LPGA Tour’s CME Group Tour Championship competing at the last event of the season this week, 22 players will have the chance to become the first Epson Tour alum to win the event. Of that group, seven players have won at least one LPGA Tour tournament during their 2024 season and will look to end their season in style in Naples, Fla, a group that includes Lauren Coughlin, Hannah Green, Nelly Korda, Linnea Strom, Bailey Tardy, Patty Tavatanakit and Lilia Vu.

The obvious choice to secure a win at the CME Group Tour Championship is Nelly Korda, who earned her seventh victory of the 2024 LPGA Tour season last week at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican. Korda is already having a historic 2024 campaign, with a major championship at The Chevron Championship among her litany of titles. A win at the CME Group Tour Championship would just add another notch to her belt before heading into the offseason.

Hannah Green and Lauren Coughlin have put together outstanding seasons in their own right. Green has won three times in 2024, most recently at the BMW Ladies Championship. That win in the Republic of Korea earned Green her sixth career title on the LPGA Tour. Coughlin became a Rolex First-Time Winner in July at the CPKC Women’s Open and then captured her second Tour title just two events later at the ISPS Handa Women’s Scottish Open, two victories that helped her earn a spot on her first U.S. Solheim Cup Team.

Lilia Vu is having a quiet 2024 season compared to her year in 2023, where she finished first in the Race to the CME Globe point standings, winning four times, including two majors at The Chevron Championship and AIG Women’s Open. Vu took home Player of the Year honors in 2021 on the Epson Tour and regained her LPGA Tour status via the Race for the Card that year.

Her 2023 campaign saw her claim her first-ever Rolex Player of the Year award on the LPGA Tour. In 2024, Vu collected her fifth career LPGA Tour victory at the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give and has hopes of ending her season with another win, a victory that would make 2024 her second consecutive year with multiple wins.
