The CPKC Women’s Open is celebrating its 50th anniversary this week as the LPGA Tour’s top talent head to Earl Grey Golf Club to duke it out for 500 Race to the CME Globe points and a share of a $2.6 million purse. Six past winners are in the field, including defending champion Megan Khang, three-time CPKC Women’s Open winner Lydia Ko and 13-time LPGA Tour winner Brooke Henderson, who hails from Smith Falls, Ontario. Three of the top 10 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings will also tee it up, as will 23 of the 26 total 2024 LPGA Tour rookies, the most notable of whom are Australian Gabriela Ruffels and four-time Ladies European Tour winner Alexandra Forsterling, who will compete in her first Olympic Games in just a few short weeks in Paris, France.
