With the Epson Tour on a three-week break, some players choose to rest and reset while others keep grinding on the golf course. Gigi Stoll and Siyun “Swing” Liu did the latter, traveling to Hawaii during their second off-week and attempting to qualify for the LPGA Tour’s LOTTE Championship presented by Hoakalei. The duo finished first and second, respectively, in the qualifier and earned the last two spots in the 144-player field.

Stoll’s one-week stint on the LPGA Tour follows her first Epson Tour victory at the Casino Del Sol Golf Classic in Tucson, Arizona. The Oregon native currently sits at No. 3 on the Epson Tour’s Official Money List and is in a good position early in the season to secure a 2024 LPGA Tour card in October.

“I’m excited to qualify for the LPGA [Tour] event this week in Hawaii,” said Stoll. “After a win on the Epson Tour last week, I feel confident and ready to compete at the highest level.”

Liu has made two cuts in four starts on the Epson Tour in 2023 and, like Stoll, heads to Hawaii coming off her season-best finish. The Wake Forest University alumna left the Casino Del Sol Golf Classic in a share of ninth place and is excited to put her game – and her clubs – to the test at Hoakalei Country Club.

“I’m super excited to play my first LPGA event and to compete with the best in the game,” said Liu. “The course setup is also slightly different from the Epson Tour, so it will be a test to all of my clubs in the bag.”
