“Having it all” on the LPGA Tour has never been a question – it’s always been a given. The idea that a woman can be a doting mother and a successful professional golfer has always seemed like fact, one that has been proven over and over again throughout the years.
We had players like Susie Maxwell Berning and Judy Rankin – who were among the first to take their kids on the road with them as they traveled for tournaments – winning major championships and Player of the Year titles. That trend continued with Nancy Lopez and Juli Inkster raising families and hoisting trophies, then Gerina Mendoza and Brittany Lincicome and Stacy Lewis took up the mantle in the mid-to-late 2010s.
And now, there’s a new generation of mothers on the LPGA Tour, a legion of major champions, tournament winners and Solheim Cuppers that are having children and starting families, all while still competing week in and week out on Tour, reminding the world that a woman no longer has to pick between a family and a career.
Since the beginning of 2022, the LPGA has welcomed nine new children to the tour’s extended family, including three in the first four and a half months of this year. Meet some of the newest (and soon-to-be) additions to the #LPGAMom crew as well as their bundles of joy!
