With the nine automatic qualifiers finalized and U.S. Solheim Cup captain Stacy Lewis’ three captain’s picks locked in, golf fans can finally start to look ahead to some of the finer details of the 18th playing of the Solheim Cup at Finca Cortesin in Andalucia, Spain. And few of those details are more important than team uniforms.
Dunning Golf has partnered with the U.S. Team, serving as the squad’s Official Uniform Supplier for both the 2023 and 2024 Solheim Cup competitions. Collaborating with Captain Lewis, Dunning has crafted a set of uniforms for the 2023 team that highlights both the patriotism of the American players and the technically innovative golf apparel that Dunning is known for in the golf industry.
The U.S. uniforms have a classic red, white and blue color profile and will feature intricate patterns designed specifically with the 2023 Solheim Cup in mind as well as Dunning’s exclusive COOLMAX® technology. In addition to practice and play uniforms, each player and captain will also receive four layering pieces, including a quarter-zip pullover, hoodie, vest and jacket that feature ultra-light Primaloft technology.
Lewis is looking forward to showcasing the uniforms in just a few weeks in Spain and was incredibly grateful for Dunning’s willingness to incorporate her and her assistant captains’ ideas into every piece they created. Selecting uniforms can often be one of the more challenging jobs for a Solheim Cup captain, but Lewis says they made it an incredibly simple process that has produced a look she will be proud to see her team wearing in Spain.
“The team at Dunning has been wonderful to work with through all the steps of the design process,” said Lewis. “The players got to see the full kit for the first time last week and so many commented on how much they liked the fabrics and the overall look. Our uniform pieces all have a luxury feel while still providing the comfort we need to compete.”
