Stacy Lewis was honored last night as an inductee into the 2019 class of the Southeastern Conference Women’s Legends, joining 13 others, including two other golfers.
Lewis graduated in 2008 from the University of Arkansas with a storied collegiate career. She was a four-time All-American, bringing home 12 victories in her time on the Fayetteville campus. Lewis was the 2005 SEC Freshman of the year, the 2007 NCAA DI Individual champion, and the 2008 SEC Championship individual medalist and player of the year.

She turned professional after graduating, winning 12 professional events. She’s had immense success on the LPGA Tour and the international stage. She won the 2012 and 2014 Rolex Player of the Year, the 2013 and 2014 Vare Trophy, and the LPGA Official Money List Title in 2014. She also boasts two major victories on her resume, with an ANA Inspiration victory in 2011 and the AIG Women’s British Open in 2013.
She has represented the United States on multiple fronts, featuring four times on the U.S. Solheim Cup team in 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2017. She’s also a two- time member of Team USA in the UL International Crown for 2014 and the victory in 2016. In addition, she represented the United States at the Olympics in 2016.
Lewis joins the 21st class of the SEC Women’s Legends award. The award honors former student-athletes, coaches and administrators that have had a significant impact in women’s sports.
