UPDATE - 10:22 AM EST (1/27/18) - The second round of the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic will resume at 11:15 a.m. local time.

UPDATE - 9:33 AM EST (1/27/18) - Play continues to be suspended due to high winds. Next update will come at 10:30 a.m.

UPDATE - 7:35 AM EST (1/27/18) - Due to continued high winds, the resumption of Round 2 has been delayed. Based on tests this morning, balls are still moving on a number of putting greens. Next update will come at 9:30 a.m.

Based on the current weather forecast at the 2018 Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic, the LPGA has decided to take 72 holes off the table and instead focus on finishing 54 holes on Sunday. We should be able to complete the second round on Saturday and the final round on Sunday.

However, if high winds cause additional delays or suspensions, we may need to alter our plans to ensure completing an official tournament. Extending the tournament to Monday remains an option, if it is necessary to complete an official event.

Due to high winds, Friday’s second-round play was suspended for the day at 8:39 a.m. The second round will resume on Saturday at 7:30 a.m. Eastern, with afternoon tee times moved up 50 minutes. The first starting times for the afternoon wave will be 10:35 a.m., with the last starting times at 12:03 p.m.
