Madelene Sagstrom recorded her first top-10 finish in her ninth start on the LPGA Tour to have the Rolex Rankings Move of the Week, climbing 77 spots to No. 125 with her outstanding play at the Kingsmill Championship Presented by JTBC.
During her rookie season on the Epson Tour, Sagstrom had 12 top-10 finishes including three wins. She is the third highest ranked player from Sweden in the Rolex Rankings behind Anna Nordqvist and Pernilla Lindberg.
Danielle Kang started the season ranked No. 68 in the world and has been ranked in the top 100 since February 9, 2015 for 120 weeks. She has continued to climb the Rolex Rankings; with her third top-10 finish of the season she moved up 14 spots to No. 39 her highest ranking of her career.
Other Notable Moves
Players continue to jockey for one of the automatic spots on Team USA.
For six-time Solheim Cup veteran Angela Stanford, her solo third finish in the Kingsmill Championship Presented by JTBC puts her in a good position to make the 2017 roster this August and something that she thinks about each week.
“It's always on my mind Solheim Cup years,” explained Stanford. “This felt good. This week, again, means a lot to me. I love being here. It was kind of my chance to make a move. Just I want to make that team. I don't want Juli to have to think about picking me.”
Danielle Kang’s fourth-place finish in Williamsburg moved her up three spots to ninth in the Solheim Cup Points rankings, and her continued solid play will give Captain Juli Inkster something to consider when making her selections.

With her victory at the Kingsmill Championship, Lexi Thompson earned 1,480 points which lifted her to No. 3 in the season long Race to the CME Globe standings.
This season, players have already begun to jockey for the top spot and made large jumps in the standings, including Thompson who cut into So Yeon Ryu’s lead with her win in Virginia. Madelene Sagstrom made the largest jump in the standings moving up 40 spots to 70th after this past weekend’s event in Williamsburg.
The top five finishers entering Naples control their destiny at the CME Group Tour Championship, meaning if they win in Naples, they will also win the CME Globe, but the top twelve finishers will have a mathematical chance at winning the CME Globe.
Ryu (1), Ariya Jutangarn (2), Thompson (3), Cristie Kerr (4), In Gee Chun (5), Inbee Park (6), Sei Young Kim (7), Mirim Lee (8), Ha Na Jang (9), Anna Nordqvist (10), Stacy Lewis (11), and Lydia Ko (11) make up the top-12.
