Brooke Henderson made the Rolex Rankings Move of the Week by battling through the elements in New Zealand to earn her fifth career LPGA title at the MCKAYSON New Zealand Women’s Open. She climbed two spots from No. 12 to No. 10. This win was her second in 2017 making her the only player with multiple victories in both 2016 and 2017.
Henderson is no stranger to being ranked among the top 10 in the world having spent 51 consecutive weeks in the top 10 from March 14, 2016 through February 27, 2017. She has been in and around the top 10 since February this year. The highest ranking for Henderson was No. 2 after winning the 2016 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship; a ranking she held for seven consecutive weeks.
This week, Lydia Ko has been ranked in the top 10 for 215 consecutive weeks. Ko first entered the top 10 with her win at the 2013 CN Canadian Women’s Open. During this time, Ko was ranked No. 1 for a total of 104 weeks.
