Stacy Lewis’s head is full of the present: The euphoria over a spot in the Olympic Games in Rio next week and a huge smile after her wedding in Mystic, CT, last week.

But not to be lost in her return to form as a No. 1-type player is the consistency which has kept her among the top 10 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings. Even though the 31-year old hasn’t won since the 2014 Walmart NW Arkansas Championship Presented by P&G, Lewis is ranked in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings top 10 for a 256th consecutive week. Despite her top-10 ranking recently being in jeopardy – she is ranked seventh this week following a 10th more than one month ago – Lewis has been among the world’s elite players dating back to September 19, 2011.

Among the current top 10, only Inbee Park (207 consecutive weeks) comes close to Lewis. The Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings debuted on Feb. 21, 2006. Here are some players who have had long runs in the top 10 – Suzann Pettersen (434 consecutive weeks from 2007-2015), Cristie Kerr (342 consecutive weeks from 2006-12) and Yani Tseng (267 consecutive weeks from 2008-13).

“Your golf is going to be in cycles,” Lewis said. “You're going to have peaks where you’re going to win and then you’re kind of going to play bad for a little bit and then you’re going to win again. That little valley just happens to be a little longer right now and I feel like I’m working on the right things and we're moving in the right direction and that's all you can really do. Wins just don't happen by snapping your fingers, you've got to work on it and we'll get there.”
