As the April 4th deadline approaches, we continue to see the movement as teams begin to take shape for the second playing of the UL International Crown. With only a few weeks until the eight teams are decided the Republic of Korea and the United States continue to hold the top two spots in the standings.
Team Korea holds an edge over the United States for the top spot in the standings. Heading into this week at the HSBC Women's Champions Republic of Korea will be looking to extend their lead in the standings and secure the top spot of the eight qualifying teams.
After last week's Honda LPGA Thailand Team Korea saw major movements in the standing with In Gee Chun and Amy Yang moving into the third and fourth spots on the team after a great week in Thailand. The four players who are currently qualified to play in this year's event will be teeing it up this week: Inbee Park, Sei Young Kim, In Gee Chun and Amy Yang.
Also seeing some movement are Teams United States and England. Lexi Thompson moved into the first position after her win at the Honda LPGA Thailand, becoming the top-ranked American in the rankings. England's Holly Clyburn jumped 18 spots in the Rolex Rankings after a second place finish at the RAVC Ladies Masters on the Ladies European Tour, moving her into the second position in the team standings.
