Charley Hull, Jessica Korda, Brooke Henderson
10:18 a.m. – 1st Tee – Group 23
In her first start in a month, Charley Hull will play alongside Jessica Korda and Brooke Henderson in the opening round of the Blue Bay LPGA. Hull is making her first start since the Evian Championship where she finished T-52 and is also making her first appearance in this event. Korda on the other hand is making her third start in this event where she finished T-3 in its inaugural playing in 2014 when the event was shortened to 54-holes due to weather. Like Hull, Henderson is also making her first start in this event and is coming off a T-56 finish last week in Korea following three consecutive top-10s. Henderson is a two-time winner this season who captured her first major title at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship this summer.
Carlota Ciganda, Amy Yang, Xi Yu Lin
10:29 a.m. – 1st Tee – Group 25
Coming off her first victory on the LPGA Tour, Carlota Ciganda is grouped with Amy Yang and Xi Yu Lin in round one of the Blue Bay LPGA. Ciganda has continued to trend upward in recent weeks with a T-17 finish at the Evian Championship, followed by a T-8 finish at the Fubon LPGA Taiwan Championship and then captured her first win on Tour last week at the LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship. She’s making her third start in this event where she’s looking to crack the top-30 for the first time. Yang has played consistent golf all season long and finished outside the top-20 just once since July. Lin is the final member of this group looking to continue the success she found in this event last season when she finished T-5.
Lee-Anne Pace, Sei Young Kim, Ariya Jutanugarn
10:40 a.m. – 1st Tee – Group 27
The two champions of the Blue Bay LPGA, Lee-Anne Pace and Sei Young Kim, will play with Ariya Jutanugarn on day one. Pace won this event in its first playing in 2014 when she won the weather-shortened event for her first win on Tour. Kim pulled out a narrow one-stroke victory in 2015 to capture her third win of her rookie season. The event played the toughest of the year with Kim winning at two-under par for the championship. Jutanugarn is making her second start in this event in search of her sixth win of the season. The world No.2 hasn’t finished outside the top-13 since winning back-to-back in July and August.
