Ai-Chen Kuo, Amy Yang, Azahara Munoz

Group 14 – 10^th Tee – 9:38 a.m.

The TLPGA’s Ai-Chen Kuo will play alongside Amy Yang and Azahara Munoz in the opening round of the Fubon LPGA Taiwan Championship. Kuo played earlier this season on the LPGA Tour at the Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic where she missed the cut. This week the Republic of Korea’s Amy Yang returns to a site where she has had quite a bit of success, finishing in the top-10 in each of her starts, including a share of runner up in 2011. Munoz finished in a share of runner-up with Yang that year and has posted three more top-10’s in Taiwan. She could likely make it back-to-back wins this week if she can carry over the momentum she found last week at home in Spain where she captured her first worldwide win in two years on the Ladies European Tour.

So Yeon Ryu, Wei-Ling Hsu, Nontaya Srisawang

Group 18 – 10^th Tee – 10:00 a.m.

The Republic of Korea’s So Yeon Ryu will play alongside Chinese Taipei’s Wei-Ling Hsu and Thailand’s Nontaya Srisawang. Ryu is making her first start since finishing in a share of runner-up at the season’s final major, the Evian Championship. Ryu finished in the same position in the Fubon LPGA Taiwan Championship last year, behind champion Lydia Ko who ran away from the field for a nine-stroke victory. Hsu on the other hand hasn’t found as much success in this event, looking to crack the top-20 for the first time this week. Srisawang is making her first start in this event and searching for her third top-10 finish of the season.

Lydia Ko, In-Kyung Kim, Yani Tseng

Group 25 – 1^st Tee – 10:44 a.m.

Defending champion Lydia Ko will begin her title defense alongside the Republic of Korea’s In-Kyung Kim and Chinese Taipei’s Yani Tseng. Ko looks to pick up her fifth victory of the season this week in an event where she hasn’t finished worse than third. Kim is coming into this week’s event with some momentum of her own after winning twice in the last month on the LET as well as the LPGA Tour at the Reignwood LPGA Classic. She finished in a share of 23^rd in this event last year. 2011 champion Yani Tseng is the final member of this group and received a sponsor invite to compete this week. She’s coming off her best finish of 2016 with a T-16 last week in China.
