Teams for the second playing of the UL International Crown are locked in on April 4th, and we continue to see movement on the bubble as teams take shape for this year's event. The Republic of Korea and the United States are sitting comfortably in the top two spots in the standings.
Team Australia is holding an edge over Team China for the final spot in the standings. Heading into this week at the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open the Aussies will be looking to move up in the standings, looking to secure their spot as one of the eight qualifying teams.
With only the top-four players in the Rolex Rankings from each country qualifying for a team every event counts. Sarah Kemp, in this week's field, is looking to continue her upward momentum after making a move with her outstanding play at last week's Ladies European Tour (LET) event the ISPS Handa New Zealand Women's Open that moved her into one of the bubble positions. Australia’s Su-Hyun Oh and Sarah Jane Smith also swapped spots in the team standing with Oh moving into fourth bumping Smith into the fifth position in the latest standings.
Also seeing some movement on the bubble is Team England. Felicity Johnson moved into the sixth position with her strong finish on the LET at the ISPS Handa New Zealand Women's Open bumping Georgia Hall out of a bubble spot position. Both, Johnson and Hall will be teeing it up in Australia so look for the battle on the bubble to continue this week at the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open.
