This year’s Rolex Player of the Year will be named in just four events, but the race is far from over.
With her 10th career win and fifth this season, Lydia Ko moved into the top spot in the points standings. Ko passed Inbee Park and currently leads her by only 30 points. That margin is just enough for Park to get a win and tie Ko at the top should she finish outside the top-10, which is quite possible given her opening round 77 on Thursday at Blue Bay. Should Ko win this season's award, she would become the fourth in the history of the LPGA Tour to win Rookie of the Year honors the year before being named Player of the Year. Here’s a look at the points breakdown for the season’s remaining events as well as the current top-10 in the standings. Click here for the complete standings.
