Inbee Park fired a 5-under-par 67 to take a three-shot lead in the third round of the Lorena Ochoa Invitational Presented by Banamex and JTBC. Park's putter came alive on the back nine with birdies on 10, 12, 14, 16 and 17 needing only 25 putts to complete the day.
"I feel like I played really good, especially on the front nine, I was able to make a lot of putts and I was able to control the shots a bit better today so it’s a definitely a plus, cause last couple of days I’ve been making a lot mistakes."
Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year, Sei Young Kim, shoots 2-under-par 70 to sit in solo second.
So Yeon Ryu sits behind her best friend, Inbee Park, in a tie for third with Carlota Ciganda.
"We are best friends off the golf course and on the golf course as well, but competition is competition you know, no matter who it is I just want to try my best. I know it’s an important tournament for her as well, she is so close to player of the year, and there are only two more events on the year," said Ryu. "I do always want to win a tournament, and I haven’t won any LPGA event so, and I also only have two more chances so it’d be nice to win this."
