Having both finished in the top-5 last week at Blue Bay LPGA, Sandra Gal and Kim Kaufman will hope to keep the momentum going alongside Erika Kikuchi in round one of the TOTO JAPAN CLASSIC. Kikuchi posted eight top-10’s last season on the JLPGA and finished T-35 here last year.

9:50a.m. – 1^st Tee – Momoko Ueda, Karrie Webb, Michelle Wie

Making her first start at this week’s TOTO JAPAN CLASSIC, Michelle Wie will have two former champions showing the way on Friday, teeing it up with Momoko Ueda and Karrie Webb in round one. Ueda won this event in a three-hole playoff with Shanshan Feng in 2011, with Webb hoisting the trophy in 2006.

10:01a.m. – 1^st Tee – Mi Hyang Lee, Lexi Thompson, Ayaka Watanabe

Defending champion Mi Hyang Lee will play alongside Lexi Thompson and Ayaka Watanabe on Friday at the TOTO JAPAN CLASSIC. Lee will hope to defend her first title on the LPGA Tour this week. She has three top-10 finishes this season, including a tie for fourth at the Evian Championship. Thompson makes her debut in this event this week, making her first start since winning at the LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship. Watanabe rounds out the group, she finished T-66 in this event last year.

10:12a.m. – 1^st Tee – Hyo Joo Kim, Bo-Mee Lee, Stacy Lewis

Currently second in the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year standings, Hyo Joo Kim will have to make a move this week if she wants to have a chance at the trophy. She’ll be playing alongside Bo-Mee Lee and Stacy Lewis who finished No.1 and No.2 in this event in 2012, with Lewis winning by just one stroke ahead of Lee.

10:12a.m. – 10^th Tee – Ha-Neul Kim, Azahara Munoz, Beatriz Recari

With the final tee time of the day Friday, South Korea’s Ha-Neul Kim may end up teeing it up alone. Azahara Munoz and Beatriz Recari are in Bali for an event and have been unable to leave due to a volcanic eruption that closed the airport. The duo was given the final tee time of the day to give them a little extra time to make the trip to Japan, but due to continued closures at the airport were forced to withdraw from the tournament on Thursday.
