11:10a.m. – Jaye Marie Green, Caroline Masson, Lizette Salas
In what will be her first start at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational, Jaye Marie Green tees it up alongside Caroline Masson and Lizette Salas in round one. Masson finished T-25 in her only start in this event last year. Salas has twice teed it up in Mexico, posting two top-20 finishes.
11:21a.m. – Gaby Lopez, Azahara Munoz, Gerina Piller
Amateur Gaby Lopez received a sponsor invite to compete this week, making her third start in an LPGA event this year. The Arkansas senior finished T-29 at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship and missed the cut at the U.S. Women’s Open this past summer. Lopez will play alongside Azahara Munoz and Gerina Piller on Thursday. Munoz has two top-10 finishes in her five starts in this event. Piller has twice played in this event, her best finish coming in a T-17 in 2013.
11:54a.m. – Christina Kim, Brittany Lincicome, Suzann Pettersen
Defending champion Christina Kim returns this week for what will be her fourth start in Mexico, in hopes of making it back-to-back wins. Kim tees it up along with Brittany Lincicome and Suzann Pettersen in round one. Pettersen has played each year since this event started in 2008, her best finish was runner-up in 2010.
12:05p.m. – Cristie Kerr, Minjee Lee, So Yeon Ryu
Cristie Kerr makes her first start this week since withdrawing with back pain from the LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship. Kerr won this event in 2012 and posted back-to-back top-5’s here in 2009 and 2010. Kerr will play with So Yeon Ryu, who is coming off a T-2 in Taiwan, as well as rookie Minjee Lee who is making her first start in this event this week.
12:16p.m – Sei Young Kim, Inbee Park, Lexi Thompson
This group has a lot to play for this week. With a victory in Mexico, rookie Sei Young Kim would pass Stacy Lewis in the No.3 spot in the Race to the CME Globe points standings, giving herself a strong chance of winning the season long race. World No.2 Inbee Park trails Lydia Ko by just 33 points in the Player of the Year standings and with a victory this week would nearly close the gap ahead of the CME Group Tour Championship. Lexi Thompson is in search of her third win of the season and has already locked up her position in the top-9 in the Race to the CME Globe.
