Legends Tour, Collegians Reunite For Third Annual Tournament
BOSTON, June 5, 2014 – For the third year, the Legends Tour, the Official Senior Tour of the LPGA, will join the Judson Collegiate Invitational Foundation to host the Judson Collegiate and Legends Pro-Am Challenge presented by AT&T.
The annual event will showcase the talents of 60 collegiate women golfers alongside 30 LPGA Legends professionals. The event will be held June 27-30, at the Country Club of Roswell in the Greater Atlanta area, and will feature an 18-hole tournament pairing collegiate golfers with Legends Tour players.
“This golf tournament is all about pairing the legends of the LPGA with the future of women’s golf and honoring the Judson mission, which is about providing leadership through our role models,” said Jones, a 13-time LPGA Tour winner with six wins on the Legends Tour. “We have a dynamic and all-star lineup of Legends Tour players, as well as a full field of top collegiate players from around the country.”
The Legends Tour players will compete for a $120,000 purse, while the college players will start their three-day event in conjunction with the Legends Tour tournament.
Four days of activities will include: Friday, June 27 - Tournament pro-am with 11 a.m. shotgun start; Saturday, June 28 - Legends Tour tournament concurrently with Round 1 of college tournament; Sunday, June 29 -Round 2 of college tournament; and Monday, June 30 - Final round of college tournament.
Hosted by Jones, an Atlanta resident, the event will also feature LPGA and World Golf Hall of Famers Amy Alcott, Pat Bradley, Nancy Lopez and Georgia native Hollis Stacy. Legends Tour Hall of Fame member Jan Stephenson of Australia will also be in the field.
Special guests, Michelle McGann and LPGA Hall of Famer Kathy Whitworth, an 88-time LPGA Tour winner, will play in the pro-am tournament.
In addition, 20-time LPGA Tour winner Laura Davies of Great Britain, Sweden’s Liselotte Neumann, the winning 2013 European Solheim Cup captain, along with two-time (2012, 2013) defending champion Alicia Dibos of Peru, will highlight the Legends Tour’s top international players in the field.

The Judson Collegiate Invitational Foundation, Inc. (JCI Foundation, Inc.), a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, was established in 2012. Lauren Judson, a graduated member of the University of Southern Mississippi’s women’s golf team, lost both of her parents in a private airplane accident in the fall of 2010. The Judson Invitational Foundation was established to honor the memory and philanthropic work of Lauren’s parents.
