DELRAY BEACH, Fla., July 15, 2014 – Three charities have been announced for the Legends Tour’s Walgreens Charity Classic, set for Nov. 6-9. The two-day professional golf tournament will raise funds for the Dan Marino Foundation (DMF), Achievement Centers for Children & Families (ACCF), and for Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse (ADVA).
Presented by The Seagate Country Club in Delray Beach, Fla., the event will showcase 48 former LPGA Tour professionals now playing on The Legends Tour, the official senior tour of the LPGA. Tournament rounds will be contested on Saturday, Nov. 8, and Sunday, Nov. 9.
“We are excited to bring world-class golf to Delray Beach and to help these great charities in doing so,” said Roger Lemke, district manager for Walgreens. “All ticket proceeds will support our charity partners.”
Ticket sales for the tournament will start Sept. 15 at Walgreens stores. Golf fans may save $5 off gate pricing by purchasing tickets in advance at Walgreens.
Donations for the charity partners will be accepted at the gate during both rounds of the tournament. Information and representatives from each charity will be on site to increase awareness of the programs and services provided by each charity.
