“The Putt” Strikes Again
Paula Creamer Earns Kia Most Compelling Performance with Winning Putt in Singapore
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., April 10, 2014 – Paula Creamer captured the world’s attention when she sank a 75-foot eagle putt to win the HSBC Women’s Champions in Singapore last month. Now the 27-year old American is receiving more recognition for “the putt” and has been named the Kia Most Compelling Performance for the month of March.

Creamer shot rounds of 67-73-69-69 to force a playoff with Spain’s Azahara Munoz. In the second sudden-death playoff hole, the Pleasanton, Calif. native lined up a long, winding putt on the 18th green, only hoping to lag it within 10 feet. Television announcers called it a miracle and Creamer called it one of the highlights of her career.
The victory marked Creamer’s 10th LPGA Tour win and ended an almost four-year winless drought dating back to the 2010 U.S. Women’s Open.
