On July 28 Golf Fore Africa’s 3rd annual East Coast Golf Classic was held at Friar’s Head on Long Island, NY. Twenty LPGA pros including Stacy Lewis, Yani Tseng, Katherine Kirk, IK Kim, Nancy Lopez Juli Inkster and Pat Bradley were part of the group of pros who played with amateurs to raise money for clean water in Zambia. The weather was perfect and the course outstanding.
Tom Abbott from the Golf Channel was the emcee for the evening program. Dr. Greg Allgood, Vice President for World Vision Water, shared at our evening program about the importance of clean, accessible drinking water.
Our event was a huge success. Over $275,000 was raised to help bring clean water to 117 rural villages in Zambia. For more information on Project Zambia visit our website www.GolfForeAfrica.org and see how you can get involved. At Golf Fore Africa we believe that Every Child Deserves Clean Water!
