ORLANDO, Florida – LPGA Tour member Jacqui Concolino has been named to the Board of Directors of Fairways for Warriors, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a better quality of life to wounded military personnel by teaching them to play the game of golf.
Jacqui will serve as “Golf Ambassador” to the organization and will begin her tenure with a teaching clinic for wounded veterans on May 8, 2013 at 11 am at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando.
“It’s incredible to have an LPGA professional representing our organization,” said Tom Underdown, President of Fairways for Warriors. “We’re thrilled, the Warriors are thrilled, and we’re looking forward to a great relationship with Jacqui.”
The goal of the organization, which is headquartered in Central Florida, is to support disabled active military personnel and veterans. Through the game of golf, Fairways for Warriors strives to aid in the physical and emotional rehabilitation of soldiers who have fought for freedom.
Jacqui is a full member of the LPGA Tour and has already recorded three Top 25 finishes during the 2013 season, including a tie for 25th at the Kraft Nabisco Championship. She is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, where she was named First-Team All American in 2007, and resides in Orlando, Florida.
The clinic is free and open to the public. Media are invited for the purpose of covering the event, with photo and interview opportunities available upon request.
