LPGA.com caught up with Jiyai Shin for a quick Q&A. Shin talks about the keys to playing well at La Costa and how it matches with her game.
LPGA: What is the key to playing well at La Costa?
Shin: Hitting it straight and as far as possible. The rough is deep and thick, avoiding that is absolutely necessary.
LPGA: How does it match with your game?
Shin: My accuracy off the tee will help me stay out of the hazards, so I will list that as the best possible match for my game here.
LPGA: What are your favorite holes?
Shin: 16 is a great looking par 3.
LPGA: What are you looking forward to that week?
Shin: The nice weather and playing in La Costa again.
LPGA: What are your favorite things to do while in San Diego?
Shin: Every time I have been to San Diego I have been para-gliding right near Torry Pines. So I am looking forward to doing that again.
