April 25, 2012 - LPGA stars Katherine Hull and Mo Martin, both playing this week in the Mobile Bay LPGA Classic, visited the Little Sisters of the Poor Sacred Heart Residence in Mobile. Mother Superior Marcel Joseph, and numerous residents and Sisters greeted Hull and Martin at the door, even presenting them with gifts of Mardi Gras beads and many welcoming hugs.
Two residents in particular, Pat Thompson and Ronnie Morrison, challenged Hull and Martin to a round of Wii Golf, a favorite activity among the residents. Morrison, proving to be a true veteran of the game, finished the hole in the lead with a par. She was quickly celebrated with many applause from Hull and Martin, who agreed they much prefer the actual golf course. Thompson also did well, ending with a bogey. He plans to attend the tournament during the weekend. Hull and Martin tied with double bogeys. After the round, Mother Marcel Joseph gave Hull and Martin a tour of the grounds and a brief history of the organization and the Mobile area.
