Coming off three consecutive runner-up finishes, defending champion Cristie Kerr is hungry for her first 2011 LPGA victory. Kerr fell shy of her 15th LPGA victory at the Sybase Match Play Championship where she lost in the finals to Suzann Pettersen, fell one-stroke shy at the ShopRite LPGA Classic, and came up short at the State Farm LPGA Classic where Rolex Rankings No. 1 Yani Tseng prevailed for a three-stroke victory.
Kerr, who missed the cut at this year's Kraft Nabisco Championship, is looking to secure her third career LPGA major victory at this week's Wegmans LPGA Championship. She previously won the 2007 U.S. Women's Open and last year's Wegmans LPGA Championship where she recorded a record-setting 12-stroke victory.
