The fun-filled day for the twelve girls and chaperones began at the Solheim Fore Kids area, where the girls learned about the history of golf, rules and etiquette, and the importance of balance. A few girls even had their swing analyzed! Then it was off to see the teams practice. The girls received autographs from all of the U.S. Team members and many from the European Team, as well.
Five of the girls participated in the Ronald McDonald House Charities LPGA Junior Clinic on Tuesday afternoon, while the remaining seven girls spent the afternoon cheering on the USA at the PING Junior Solheim Cup at Aurora Country Club. The girls received autographs from the members of Team Europe and Team USA and had their picture taken with Nancy Lopez, captain for Team USA.
"By the end of the day the chaperones were tired but the girls were filled with excitement about the day at The Solheim Cup," Site Director Nancy Kauzalrich said. "They eagerly shared the highlights with their parents when we retuned to Rockford."
