Ten of the World's Top-10 Expected to Play
Clifton, NJ - The Sybase® Classic presented by ShopRite continues to receive great news as its field takes shape. Karrie Webb, Juli Inkster and Se Ri Pak, the only active LPGA Tour and World Golf Halls of Fame members on Tour, are all expected to compete in the upcoming $2 million LPGA Tour stop at Upper Montclair Country Club. With eighth-ranked Webb committed, the Sybase Classic expects the entire Rolex Rankings' top-10 list to be in the field. Players have until May 5th, 2009 at 5 p.m. EST to commit to the event. The tournament will be held May 14 - 17.

Webb, who was inducted in 2005, has competed at the Sybase Classic eight times with four top-10 finishes. The Australian is a seven-time major winner and has won 36 career titles in her 13-year professional career. She won the 2009 J Golf Phoenix LPGA International Presented by Mirassou Winery in March, which was her first victory since 2006. Webb is currently ranked second on the LPGA Career Money List with over $14 million in earnings.
Inkster, a 1999 inductee, won the 1992 Tournament in the first year she competed by defeating Nancy Lopez. She has finished in the top-5 three other times including her last two appearances in 2006 and 2007. Inkster has won a total of seven majors and 31 tournaments in her 25-year professional career. She has earned over $12.5 million and she is currently ranked fourth on the LPGA Career Money List behind Annika Sorenstam, Karrie Webb and three-time Sybase Classic champion Lorena Ochoa.
Enshrined in 2007, Pak is a five-time Sybase Classic participant whose best finish was third in 2007. She is a 12-year LPGA Tour veteran who led the way for an influx of South Korean players the past decade. Pak has won 24 LPGA events including five major championships. She has earned over $10 million in her career, fifth all-time.
