In Beth Bader's hometown of Eldridge, Iowa, her biggest area supporters showed up for an 18-hole golf tournament at Glynns Creek Golf Club to raise money for pancreatic cancer research. Sue Bader, Beth's mother, has been fighting this disease since last August.
University of Iowa Cancer Research Specialist Dr. Joseph Cullen was on hand for the day's events and gave a short speech on pancreatic cancer. Proceeds from the golf tournament will benefit future pancreatic cancer research at the University of Iowa.
