If you are having inconsistencies in the sand, chances are you're going to the extreme in your set up. You hear a lot about opening your body to the target left and then opening the club face which will be to the right of the target. And what happens when you get into this set up, your golf swing really loses its position. Try these simple things: First, instead of the club face being wide open and addressed, square it up. Second, instead of the body being way to the left and open, square the body up. Go ahead and dig your feet in and place the ball about in the center of your stance. Now, in your take away, you simply want the club to swing a little bit steep but not to the extreme. Try these simple things. Remember it's the basics. Go back to a simple approach.
