Carlisle Companies have proven over and over how much they care about the advancement of women’s sports, particularly women’s golf.
The Carlisle Arizona Women’s Golf Classic is entering its fourth year as an Epson Tour event and has quickly become a player and fan favorite. The $400,000 purse is the largest in Epson Tour history, and with the tournament now being held at TPC Scottsdale – Champions Course, Carlisle Companies continue to push the boundaries on what a tournament on the Official Qualifying Tour of the LPGA can look like.
Not only are they making an impact on professional golfers’ lives, but the company is also instrumental in the development of the next generation of female golfers. Since joining the Epson Tour schedule in 2021, the tournament has partnered with LPGA*USGA Girls Golf of Phoenix, designating their chapter the Carlisle Arizona Women’s Golf Classic Tournament Beneficiary.
“The impact that the Carlisle Arizona Women’s classic has on our golf community has a ripple effect that spreads far beyond financial support. Our Arizona golf family is so grateful to have such a prestigious Epson Tour event in the area that provides a stage for the professional players and allows our Phoenix area girls the opportunity to witness the amazing athletes. The final support provided to our program directly enriches our local families with empowering opportunities, affordable access, and keeps the future of golf growing stronger.” Said Cori Matheson, Director, LPGA*USGA Girls Golf of Phoenix.
After the 2024 edition of the event, the total money raised for Girls Golf of Phoenix in the tournaments four-year history will surpass $100,000, once again proving Carlisle Companies’ desire to make an impact on the present and future of women’s golf.
“We are proud to partner with the LPGA Epson Tour to bring the Carlisle Arizona Women’s Golf Classic to the Phoenix community,” said Chris Koch, Chair, President and CEO of Carlisle Companies. “The tournament provides opportunities for the hard-working and resilient women who are the future of professional golf and supports impactful local programs like Girls Golf of Phoenix.
“Each year we’re inspired by the stories of the girls who participate in Girls Golf of Phoenix and the influence that the program has on their lives. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to their success and help them achieve their dreams."
Carlisle Companies’ commitment to grow the game outside of the Carlisle Arizona Women’s Golf Classic sets the example of what it means to be a title sponsor for a professional golf event, and it’s their continued support that will make a lasting impact in the lives of numerous athletes.
